addiction support for women

Warm, welcoming counseling room for women’s addiction counseling at The Growth Collective.
Close-up of a wellness-focused environment designed to support women’s addiction counseling.

what we help with:

  • Alcohol, cannabis, stimulants, nicotine, prescriptions, and compulsive patterns (food, spending, work, relationships)

  • Gray-area drinking / sober-curious exploration

  • Post-acute withdrawal symptoms (PAWS) and nervous-system dysregulation

  • Trauma-linked use, grief, burnout, perfectionism, and people-pleasing

  • Boundary work, communication, and rebuilding trust with self and others

why women-focused recovery

You are not “a problem” to fix—you’re a whole person who’s been carrying a lot. At The Growth Collective, addiction support is women-focused, trauma-informed care that honors your body, your story, and the systems you move through. Whether you identify as sober, sober-curious, in early recovery, or navigating a return to self after a lapse, you’re welcome here.

Women often use and recover in different contexts: invisible labor, high achievement, caregiving, trauma histories, perfectionism, and relationships that make boundaries complicated. Your biology (hormones, cycle phases, sleep, nervous system) also matters. We bring all of this into the plan so change is compassionate, practical, and sustainable.

our approach (what makes it different)

  • Trauma-informed & relational. Safety first, shame last. We go at your pace.

  • Harm-reduction to abstinence. We’ll align goals with your values—curious, cutting back, or sober.

  • Somatic & parts work. Cravings live in the body; we teach bottom-up regulation and work with protective parts instead of fighting them.

  • ARC-informed for adults. Attachment, regulation, and competency to rebuild stability and self-trust.

  • Cycle-aware care. We adapt skills and expectations across phases of your cycle for fewer “why is this harder today?” moments.

  • Skills you can use this week. Craving plans, urge-surfing, boundary scripts, relapse-prevention maps, aftercare routines.

what therapy looks like at The Growth Collective

Woman reflecting during a session focused on trauma-informed women’s addiction counseling

individual sessions (60 min)
Personalized recovery plan that integrates nervous-system tools, coping skills, values-based behavior change, and relationship work. We’ll map triggers, build a practical craving protocol, and design daily/weekly rhythms that support your goals (sleep, nutrition, movement, rest, connection).

groups & workshops

Small, skill-forward spaces with other women who “get it.” Topics rotate: regulation resets, boundary bootcamp, relapse-prevention refresh, grief & growth in recovery, cycle-aware recovery, and sober-curious starter kits.

collaborative care

We’re recovery-positive and MAT-affirming (e.g., naltrexone, buprenorphine, etc.). With your consent, we coordinate with prescribers/PCP for whole-person care.

  • “Do I actually have a problem, or am I just stressed?”

  • “Why can I white-knuckle all week and then spiral on weekends?”

  • “I’m high-functioning—why does this feel so out of control?”

  • “I’ve tried before. How do I make it stick without hating my life?”

if you're asking yourself...

You’re in the right place. We’ll sort through the noise, set realistic goals, and build support that fits your real life.
